Today I did nothing. NOTHING.
That's not true. I did stuff.
Just nothing of importance.
I edited some of the video I took of Mérida en Domingo. I thought about Ezer. I ate lunch and dinner and talked with mi madre. I disappeared into my room and listened to music. I thought about Ezer. I wasted 6 hours. I talked to Emily over Skype. I talked about Ezer.
I did NOTHING.
Calm down babycakes. There is time.
I often think of Joe's parents. His mom studied abroad in Italy during college. She met this man who was in a music conservatory and they dated until she had to leave. They kept in contact after that through letters. Then--I forget if he came over here or she over there--they found each other again. And got engaged, married, and had little Joseph here.
Not that I have those hopes or expectations for us. I mean, I don't really know this kid. But this kind of thing is difficult to carry out knowing fully that there is a timeline. I have to leave in May. I have to leave. But Joe's parents' story reminds me that time is not a concrete thing. No one can tell the future and sometimes funny things happen. I think about that often...
Getting completely ahead of herself,
-Ashley
